Dread's Room

Welcome to my room! This is where you'll see all kinds of pictures of me. Some are old, but there are a couple from this year. As you can see, I've changed a lot over the years! Oh well, don't we all??

Some old pics...

Here I am at age 17.
I was quite nerdy back then!

Find Dread-O! I'm 20 in this pic, and somewhere in the middle.

Now, for the more up-to-date pics...

Activist pics...

My friend, Linda and I.
We were in a meeting with Mayor Anthony Williams, of Washington, D.C.

This one is from 1995. I won't mention the name of the
person who is shaking my hand, but we were in the East
Wing of his house, and I was one of 50 ADAPT members
who were invited to meet with him!

I have met many high-level politicians in my activist work,
including Al Gore, and our current President, G.W. Bush. I
must say that I'm proud of this because it isn't every ordinary
citizen who gets to meet not one, but two presidents of their country!
This picture appears in an album that resides at the Clinton Library!

Just Chillin'...

I'm at my sister's house.

Hanging out on the mall with my buddy, Steffi.

You'll notice that I'm using a wheelchair in this pic.
In 1997, I was diagnosed with a double whammy of
Degenerative Joint Disease AND Multiple Sclerosis!
If that isn't enough, I am also almost totally blind,
and I have epilepsy! Quite obviously, I haven't let
these disabilities stop me from doing anything that
I've set my mind to do!

I hope you liked my pics. I'll be adding more, so keep coming back! You can go back to the Family Room, or go back home, and see the rest of my crib!

You are visitor #to drop in.
