Hi, and welcome to my scrapbook! This is where I'll put all of the cool pics that I and others took while we were on the March. The March was so amazing! We marched 144 miles from Philadelphia to Washington, D. C. to push for passage of MiCASSA, S. 971 and H.R. 2032.

We travelled through Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. We camped out in tents and on cots in some pretty interesting places. The kindness, support, and hospitality of the local people was overwhelming and beautiful! Most of us ate better during the March than we do at home, as we had plenty of home-cooked meals.

There were tough times, but there were some sweet moments too. We worked together and bonded. We were a travelling community of 215 very diverse people. For some, it was their first experience with ADAPT, while others returned after years of absence. Many of us marched not only for ourselves, but for others who couldn't make it, or had passed away.

Through pouring rain and beating sun we marched. Neither bee stings nor spider bites, poison ivy, or sun poisoning, exhaustion, wet clothes, or dead chairs could turn us around. It was two weeks of pain and glory, and we did it!

So, come on in, get comfy, and check out the pics and the stories. You might think we were crazy, but you'll never forget us!

Now, enter the Scrapbook, or return to Current Events, the main ADAPT page, or go home, and seach for more treasures and memories in my house.
